Who We Are
The Ambedkar Social Forum (ASF) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to the upliftment and empowerment of marginalized communities, specifically those belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) in India. Named after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a stalwart advocate for social justice, ASF operates with the mission of eradicating the deep-rooted inequalities that have long oppressed these communities. ASF aims to create a society where everyone, regardless of their caste or background, can live with dignity and have access to equal opportunities.
Mission and Vision
The mission of ASF is to build an equitable and just society by addressing the socio-economic and political challenges faced by SC, ST, and OBC communities. The organization envisions a world where these communities are not only free from discrimination but are also empowered to participate fully in the social, economic, and political spheres of life. ASF is driven by Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals, focusing on education, economic empowerment, legal support, and health care to dismantle the barriers that have historically marginalized these groups.

A Message from Dr. Nitin Raut
Founder and President of ASF
“The Ambedkar Social Forum was established with a singular vision: to continue the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar by empowering those who have been historically marginalized in our society. Our work is grounded in the belief that every individual, regardless of caste or background, deserves the opportunity to live with dignity and respect. ASF is not just an organization; it is a movement to eradicate the deep-seated inequalities that have plagued our nation for centuries. Through our initiatives in education, legal support, economic empowerment, and healthcare, we are striving to build a society where equality is not just a principle, but a lived reality for all.”
